Angular contact ball bearings carry combined radial and axial load in one direction through a 15, 25 or 40 degree contact angle - mounted in pairs or sets to locate a shaft axially.
Suitable for machine tool spindles, pumps, compressors and gearboxes where axial stiffness and speed matter. Paired arrangements (back-to-back, face-to-face, tandem) supplied on request.
Process Overview
Angular contact ball bearings have raceway grooves offset so the line of action between balls and raceways meets the axis at a contact angle — typically 15°, 25° or 40°. That geometry carries combined radial and axial load in ONE direction and higher axial load than a deep groove bearing of the same size.
They are used in pairs or sets (back-to-back, face-to-face or tandem) when the application must locate a shaft axially under combined load: machine tool spindles, pumps, compressors and gearboxes.
